<p><img class="alignleft  wp-image-85" title="Omaha Fitness Center-Tractor Tires " src="http://www.eptsomaha.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/tires_weights1-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="135" height="135" />Everyday lazy people will find a way to make themselves feel better for not doing the work needed to live a healthy lifestyle. Lazy people will often call someone &#8220;obsessed&#8221; if they are 100% committed to working out and eating clean. It comes down to having the ability to tell yourself NO to crap food, saying yes to that extra set of push ups. People that do what is needed to be done regarding losing weight will start to see results of their hard work and want to work harder. They will apply discipline in everything in their lives as they realize with structure and dedication goals can be accomplished.</p>
<p>When results appear you become easy invested in pushing yourself further. It is ok to be obsessed about losing weight, running, lifting weights and such. Several people become obsessed with their job, children (Yes, we know your out there<span id="more-610"></span> and have heard how cute johnny boy is), we can even become obsessed with Facebook.</p>
<h2>What is Obsession? Is it Good?</h2>
<p>Obsession is term placed a negative category and like many things in life people can take their hobbies or lifestyles too far. My obsession is getting clients to achieve results with losing weight or building strength. Believe it or not, as a <a title="Endless Possibilities Training Systems – Omaha Personal Trainers" href="http://www.eptsomaha.com/">certified trainer in Omaha</a>, I have several clients who are not achieving results when it comes to the gym. It comes down to they are <span style="text-decoration: underline;">NOT</span> obsessed enough, they do not push themselves when I am not around and find that the scale does not reduce. I will tell you those who are obsessed with fitness get results. They push themselves to the limit and take on more. They will not cheat and at times find that they do not crave to cheat if it goes against their weight loss goal. They do what they are told in the <strong>Omaha Fitness Center</strong> with pride and dedication. They eat healthy no matter what the temptation and exceed fitness levels that others could NOT achieve.</p>
<p>As mentioned before in several articles wanting to be healthy has to be a lifestyle change. When you make it a lifestyle change the sacrifices do not appear to be as big of a deal as you once thought. You have to want results down to your core. Losing weight is black and white. There are no excuses, you either eat healthy and exercise hard or you do not. There will be no, &#8220;I&#8217;m tired I need a day off&#8221; or &#8220;I am going to have a cheat meal&#8221; you do what you need and get the results you want.</p>
<p>For those of you that do not agree that dedication and 100% commitment is needed to achieve weight loss goals I challenge you to write down what you have done and ask yourself could you have done better? Are you happy applying yourself only 50%. As an <strong>Omaha Personal trainer</strong> I want you to see results but I can motivate you only so far. You have to want it, you have to feel that want in your soul. Once you accomplish that everything will fall into place, and you will achieve your goals and set new ones. Live to your true potential and gain the strength and determination you deserve!</p>

<h2>Tips to Talk the Talk and Walk the Walk</h2>
<p>I am not trying to be a Debbie downer by saying talking the talk with weight loss is not enough. I want to make the point that you have to talk the talk and walk the walk. <strong>Certified trainers in Omaha</strong> can only motivate you so far. We are not a fly on the wall there to watch what cardio you perform or track the food you consume every day. That is your job! Here are a few tips that really walk the walk regarding losing weight:</p>
<h3>Be honest with Yourself</h3>
<p>You can tell people you&#8217;re working out hardcore even when you&#8217;re not. Honestly they won&#8217;t know the difference but <strong>YOU</strong> will. This goes for pushing yourself to the limit versus barely trying. Certified trainers in Omaha are faced with several clients that complain that the pounds are not shedding due to their workouts. When asked what they are eating we find that they enjoy eating McD&#8217;s four times a week. When you&#8217;re not applying yourself 100% in diet or exercise (or life for that matter) you know deep down that you&#8217;re doing a crappy job. That constant down feeling is self-guilt of not applying yourself like you should. We all have experienced that crappy feeling of self -disappointment when we didn&#8217;t do what we said we would. Be honest, do the work and reap the benefits of knowing you accomplished it.</p>
<p><strong>Tip:</strong> Remember that good old chore list you had when you were a kid? Grown-ups need them too they are typically called a to-do list! Write the exercises and activities you need to do that day to lose weight. You will accomplish two things 1) you will feel relieved to mark something as finished and 2) it will motivate you to add additional items to the list.</p>
<h3>Get a Support Group</h3>
<p>I&#8217;m not talking about a knitting club! Surround yourself with others who are attempting to achieve weight loss. Let&#8217;s face it working out alone is not fun! You will be more motivated if you have someone with you to push you to your limit. People who are motivated give off a contagious personality that will naturally keep you motivated. I have experienced people taking weight loss to the next level by finding a workout body or hiring me. It comes to accountability and no one wants to be that person who cancels a workout!</p>

<h3>Do it! No Excuses!</h3>
<p>When in doubt workout! At the first sign of laziness get moving. If your craving something you should NOT eat say, &#8220;No and get moving&#8221;. Our egos try to run the show regarding what we eat and how lazy we are. Like Nikes&#8217; slogan, &#8220;Just Do it!&#8221; Eventually you will crave the Cardio and an intense workout. If you ask anyone who has reached their weight loss goals what the key to success was they will tell you they did the work and got moving. Creating healthy habits and keeping active will get you the results you want. Stick with the intense workouts, healthy eating and learn the word NO.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h1>New Year&#8217;s Resolution: Success or Obstacles?</h1>
<p><img class="alignleft  wp-image-512" title="Omaha Fitness" src="http://www.eptsomaha.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/190698_10150109440161622_135814791621_6488711_1846663_n1.jpg" alt="" width="151" height="181" />May has finally arrived! How is that New Year’s resolution going? Several people will pick losing weight at the beginning of the year as they literally can start from scratch with the New Year. All that turkey, mash potatoes and gravy along with pumpkin pie that you consumed can be worked off, right? Having weight loss as a new year&#8217;s resolution will <span style="text-decoration: underline;">NOT</span> make the bad food choices you make disappear overnight. The guilt of being unhealthy will still be there however having a fresh start is sometimes the best solution to successfully losing weight.</p>
<p>A large percentage will be able to keep the momentum going through January as weight loss is the top New Year’s Resolution. Finding likeminded people in your life with the same weight loss goals can and will keep the motivation going but what if you are losing weight alone? Some will slip up during Valentine’s Day (yes, typically women) because they find that the hallmark holiday presents a high temptation with chocolate all around. By March less than 25% of people who had a weight loss resolution are committed at all. Why do you ask? March madness and St. Paddy’s day has come and gone along with winter blues setting in.<span id="more-654"></span></p>
<h2>Finding Your &#8220;Why&#8221;</h2>
<p>Setting fitness and weight loss goals is the start to losing weight. Some can keep up the momentum throughout the year even when several obstacles appear like: “&#8221;Ladies night”, “Sunday family dinners” and “$2 beer nights”. The difference between someone who achieves their New Year&#8217;s Resolution and those who don&#8217;t is simply asking the question, &#8220;Why?&#8221; Those who succeed realize the &#8220;why&#8221; needs substance to stick. Below are a few questions to help you decide what your &#8220;why&#8221; is:</p>
<ul>
<li>Do you want to lose weight because you have skinny friends?</li>
<li>Do you find yourself unattractive?</li>
<li>Do you want to live longer?</li>
<li>Do you want to be an athlete?</li>
<li>Do you want to reduce blood pressure?</li>
</ul>
<p>The first two questions are the typical reasons we hear from new clients at <a title="Where in Omaha is Endless Possibilities?" href="http://www.eptsomaha.com/directions/">Endless Possibilities Training Systems</a>. It&#8217;s great to slim down and fit in with the skinny mini’s but realize that you may never look like Megan Fox. Everybody is built different and reacts to the exercise regimen and diet different. We try to prevent our weight loss clients from getting disappointment by turning their focus to question #3 &#8220;Are you wanting to live longer?&#8221; Having an active exercise program will in fact lengthen your life while providing you extra benefits such as strength, healthy bones, looking attractive, increase in positive energy to name a few.</p>

<p>With all new and existing clients at Endless Possibilities Training Systems we always ask, “Why are you looking to lose weight?” It&#8217;s common for someone to be speechless as they are not quite sure why they want to lose weight. Some might just feel frumpy, others might rattle off that they want to lose weight for prom or a wedding. It is very common for weight loss to be driven by an event like getting fit for the summer. We make a habit of asking why you want to lose weight as there has to be substance to keep a commitment. <p>Starting a weight loss program can be compared to a kid getting a new toy. When you get the new toy it is shinny and new and every thought you have is surrounded around wanting to play with the toy. You love to share the toy with friends or your parents. Eventually the newness wears off and the ‘New’ toy ends up in the pile with all the other toys. You weight loss goal is that &#8220;new&#8221; toy. When you start a program you cannot help but be enthusiastic and when you have the &#8220;why&#8221; behind the weight loss the energy is contagious and will make people ask you what you have changed. You will share your successes and challenges with others along with sharing what exercises your certified personal trainer had you perform last week. You might even find yourself giving advice to others who are discouraged with their current weight. You can&#8217;t help but share and give all that you are doing. You might find that you slip up by eating bad all weekend and then it turns into eating bad all week. You finally get discouraged and find that eating healthy is hard and fall off the wagon completely. If you don’t have the right frame in mind it is easy to give up being healthy. It is easy for someone to say, “I’ll eat this now and will start being healthy again tomorrow” or “One day off from working out won’t kill me, I’ll start again on Monday”. When you have the “why” behind losing weight the excuses will go away. If you do experience a slip up acknowledge your mistake and correct it. Start being healthy right then instead of waiting until the next day or week. <strong>NOW</strong> is what will make the difference.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So, I was doing a little spring cleaning with videos of our <strong>Certified Trainers </strong>in Omaha at Endless Possibilities Training Systems. I came across two phenomenal videos I had to share. Weight training is all about getting results and we like to have fun while doing it. So with that being said I snagged a two videos that were filmed from the old EPTS location. Give a round of a applause to these two guys, they live and breath personal training and  strive to show their clients that <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>ANY</strong></span> goal can be achieved!</p>
<h2>Bret Carter hits NEW personal record!</h2>
<p>We would like to give a big congratulation to Bret Carter for achieving 48inch box jump at the old Endless Possibilities <strong>Omaha Fitness</strong> location. Bret gives jumping for jacks a whole new meaning as he stares this 48inch box down. Bret dominates the box with agility and courage. Very few people have actually mastered the box jump. Bret has surpassed the competitors of Endless Possibilities Training Systems by showing his clients any goal can be set and achieved. We look forward to seeing Bret&#8217;s next goal being achieved.</p>

<h2>Sean Betz hits NEW Personal Best!</h2>
<p>We would also like to congratulate Sean Betz on achieving a new personal best of 385lb hang clean! Yes, you read that right 385lbs! As you can tell Sean definitely has strength but he has also mastered technique. With the hang clean their are three areas in your formation that have to mastered to increase personal best with success: The knee position, the hip position and the catch. Sean has completed all these sections and honestly made this exercise seem simple. Don&#8217;t be fooled the hang clean is a challenging weight training technique but with much practice and guidance it can be mastered.</p>

<p>Have you ever noticed that when you are NOT accomplishing a goal you become hyper sensitive to certain aspects of your life? It’s true that if you are not applying yourself 100% to being healthy you will more than likely take something more negative than the average person who lives a healthy lifestyle. Why do you ask, because you and you alone are the only one that can change your eating habit, fitness commitment and achieve your goals. If you do not apply yourself after deciding to be healthier you could find yourself overeating and making excuses about not working out. This is what we call self destruction and it has the potential of destroying any progress you might accomplish.<span id="more-508"></span></p>
<h2>#1 Way to Stop Self Destruction-Get Movin&#8217;</h2>
<p>The great news is that once you start getting healthy and becoming more active the negative trash talk i.e. self destruction will reduce. When you are in a grumpy mood or feel you NEED to be happy but your not, get up move around! Get active, more times than not people will eat because they are bored out of their skull. Yes, when you are watching TV and decide you need a snack, you are not actually hungry but your mind is so bored it needs to eat to keep it busy. When you make a decision to move and not sit on your couch your will automatically feel better as you are being active. We know that activity will gain results!</p>
<h2>Get a Healthy Support Group!</h2>
<p>When you do decide to live a healthier lifestyle there will be a few people in your life that will try to discourage you. They may tell you that you cannot succeed or pick on you for being healthy. They might even stop calling as they assume that you will not want to join happy hour or a night on the town. If possible reduce the amount of interaction you have with these people. Those who do not support your lifestyle change could have the ability to do more damage than good. Track how those around you make you feel so you know beforehand what emotions to expect. Be aware of those who cause you stress or make you feel worse after visiting them. They could be the trigger that causes you to run to the food pantry and eat a lot of sweets to make yourself feel better.</p>
<p>I am a true believer you become what you surround yourself with. Stay positive, find a club or group to stay active with. You have been completely dedicated with your face time at our <strong>Omaha Fitness Center</strong>. You educated yourself on clean eating, exercise tips and achieving goals by reading my knowledge filled articles. And hopefully by now you have been successful in achieving if not one several of your weight loss goals. The big challenge is that you still have loose skin around your body especially your legs. Ladies refer this problem as &#8216;cottage cheese&#8217; legs which can also appear on the rear end. So you ask, &#8220;how do you get rid of that?&#8221;</p>
<p>Once weight loss is achieved you need to focus on new goals like tightening certain areas<br />
or sculpting that <a title="Tummy Tuesday by Omaha Personal Trainer" href="http://www.eptsomaha.com/articles/tummy-tuesday-omaha-personal-trainer/">killer-six pack</a>. I even recommend focusing on a place of weakness like an exercise activity you find yourself hating. Mastering a new area or being pushed out of the comfort zone is always a good thing. When you push yourself with new goals you are keeping your body and mind strong while reaping the benefits of staying healthy. Now, onto the three suggestions I recommend for getting rid of those jelly jiggler legs.<span id="more-584"></span></p>
<h2>Exercise, Exercise, Exercise!</h2>
<p>As a Certified Trainer in Omaha, I cannot say this enough exercise, exercise, exercise! Several people will stop a workout routine once they achieve their weight goal. This is bad! The body adapts to the amount of activity you perform. Meaning if you are lazy your body will know your lazy and store fat. If you are a gym warrior your body becomes a lean mean machine and knows that you will feed it the right foods while providing it the exercise to assist in burning fat. If you stop a weight training program and revert back to your old eating habits. Yep, you guessed it! The weight will come back and more times than not your weight will increase past what you started at. Why give up on all that hard work you did at your Omaha Fitness Center!</p>
<p>A few articles back I mentioned, &#8220;<a title="Tuesday Tummy by Omaha Personal Trainer" href="http://www.eptsomaha.com/articles/tuesday-tummy-omaha-personal-trainer/">Cardio is your friend but intense weight training is your lover</a>.&#8221; With that being said you need to master both relationships with Cardio and intense weight training. Make both a permanent part of your lifestyle. Exercise is a great way to tighten the skin during and after weight loss. As a <strong>Certified Trainer in Omaha</strong>, I always recommend performing strength training to increase the muscle mass which will help to fill out the loose skin.</p>
<h2>Be Sure to Watch Food Intake!</h2>
<p>Remember the <a href="http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150608951296622&amp;set=a.10150109427506622.280465.135814791621&amp;type=3&amp;theater">picture</a> I posted on Facebook earlier this month? &#8220;30% Gym, 70% Diet Ab&#8217;s are made in the kitchen not in the Gym. This applies to all parts of your body. Exercise is a very important part of a weight loss plan. What you eat can make or break any weight loss program. If you <span style="text-decoration: underline;">DON&#8217;T</span> consume the right foods all your weight training efforts will go to waste.</p>
<p>If you are looking to tone areas of your body like thighs protein is your friend. Protein is a main diet ingredient recommended from Certified Trainers in Omaha as it helps build muscle. We all know that muscle burns fat! Now, I am not recommending you consume 100% protein as your body isn&#8217;t meant to handle <span style="text-decoration: underline;">ONLY</span> proteins. The body needs an adequate fruit and vegetables that contain vitamins and minerals. These two will help firm and smooth the skin while providing a healthy glow.</p>
<h2>Drink Water!</h2>
<p>This recommendation is common sense. We have been taught since we were little kids to drink water. Many of us even grew up drinking water out of the water hose. Water intake is extremely important to everyone wither you are performing an Omaha fitness program or not. When you engage in any intense weight training program you have to replenish the water lost by sweating. Consuming eight glasses of water a day (roughly 64oz) will help your body remove some of the free radicals and other toxins that damage your body. If you consume soda or diet soda you will have to consume more water as those types of drinks are classified as a dietetic.</p>

<p>We would like to give a big congratulation to Jon Carey for achieving 501lbs deadlift at the 100% RAW meet. Jon weight trains consistently to keep his mind and body strong. He did an AMAZING job represented EPTS who has Certified Trainers that know <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">NO</span></strong> boundaries regarding strength.</p>
